On the 10th March 2008, K9 Capers decided to publish the ingredients list of the products in the dog food range of Burns Pet Nutrition.

However, Mr Burns took exception to this, and I guess the fact that we also said "Why Buy It When You Could Feed Your Dog RICE Instead"

With the freedom of speech and opinion that the Internet gives, anyone with any intelligence at all would realise that you can't just feed a dog on rice.

This however didn't stop Mr Burns from summoning his Lawyers who DEMANDED that we remove this text.

Whilst the legal advisors for The K9 Capers Group of Companies could not see anything wrong with the descriptions published, they did advise us to stop winding up Mr Burns and print a retracting statement.

"How can we retract what is clearly true" we asked?

To which they simply had to agree.

Despite that, after weeks of letters being faxed backwards and forwards between very expensive legal teams, K9 Capers are happy to publish the following information regarding Burns Dog Foods in order to set the record straight and clarify the difference between truth and opinion.

The previous description regarding Burns Dog Foods printed on www.k9capers.com advising that our customers may as well feed their dogs rice instead of Burns Dog Food was solely the opinion of K9 Capers and should not be taken as an indication as to the quality of this food. However, the ingredients list printed, specifically regarding the quantity of rice used is an accurate representation. This information is now detailed on the packaging of Burns Pet Nutrition products.

Finally, we were previously asked by Mr Burns Lawyers to let everyone know that his dog food was still available from other retailers. Whilst this wasn't part of the agreement, we wanted to show John Burns that there is no hard feeling so...
