At K9 Capers we are no strangers to most of the UK's Rescue Centres. We think they do a great job and, as we feel we should always do our bit to help, each year we supply many of them with up to £50,000 worth of pet products.

Last year we got involved with a Greek Rescue Centre and helped in the rescuing and safe re-homeing of 100's of stray dogs. As always, happy to help.

So, when the Mars Family contacted us in 2008 and asked us to support their latest campaign, "The Pedigree Adoption Drive", we jumped at the chance by promoting their products in the knowledge that they would donate money to our rescue centres for every product sold.

And, in the true tradition of Mars and K9 Capers, the campaign was a fantastic success with them raising over £500,000 which was donated to over 280 rescue centres throughout the UK.

Tad Antoniak from Mars was so pleased, earlier today he made this statement.

"Thanks to all at K9 Capers, a key retail partner in contributing so well to this campaign, supporting it fully both in-store and online. Without our retail partners, like K9 Capers, such contributions to re-homing charities would not be so great and public awareness of this problem a lot lower."

Mars may have their critics with many still saying that the Adoption Drive is just another well thought out PR stunt. The K9 Capers stance is simple "SO WHAT IF IT IS? The point here is that once again, Mars have managed to make a sizeable contribution to the finances of the UK's rescue and re-homing centres and so we for one, are proud to be associated with them.
