Working as an RSPCA inspector is never boring, as proven by one dog-related incident recently. Inspector Julie Fadden was stunned when she arrived at a recent callout to find the same dog she had rescued earlier in the year. Crossbreed terrier Scruffy may get his name from his shaggy appearance, but many are already beginning to call him Houdini after a couple of impressive escapes from his home in Penyrheol, south Wales. During the most recent caper, he managed to slither through a cat flap, climb a wall and jump into the street.
This followed a similar incident when he lived with previous owners in Merthyr Tydfil 60 miles away. Ms Fadden said Scruffy's owners were frantic during his latest escape. "But Scruffy himself was none the worse for wear. He was quite happy, bless him, and wondering what all the fuss was about," she told the South Wales Evening Post. The RSPCA rescues, collects and cares for thousands of animals at its 170 branches throughout the UK every year. Dog food information can be found by clicking here |
