A skydiver has revealed a recent charity parachute jump helped him to get over the death of his beloved pooch pal. Keith Bishop took in crossbreed Bluey from the Dogs Trust Evesham seven years ago, but sadly said goodbye to the animal last March when he died of cancer. The forensic medic revealed that the tragedy made him determined to give something back to the non-profit body who cared for his canine. Even the fact that he dislocated his shoulder during the solo jump earlier this month has not dented his pride at being able to make a donation to the kennels. "The instructors had to deploy my parachute. It was the single scariest thing I have ever done, swiftly followed by the single most painful thing I have ever done," Mr Bishop remarked. A fundraising event for the charity also took place in Strathclyde Park in Lanarkshire yesterday (July 25th 2010), when members of the public were given a chance to meet its canine residents and try their hand at treasure hunts and tombolas.
